The 21st Annual Las Vegas Juneteenth Festival will be a live outdoor event and is proudly brought to you by Rainbow Dreams Educational Foundation and co-hosted by Ward 5 City Councilman Cedric Crear. Although this event is FREE to the public, we encourage ALL guests to register in advance online for an opportunity to win one of our Juneteenth PRIZE PACKS.

Our 20th Annual Las Vegas Juneteenth Festival was a huge success, as we saw nearly 3,000 people in attendance. The event was co-hosted by the office of Ward 5 City Councilman Cedric Crear in partnership with the City of Las Vegas with Zappos.com as the festival’s signature EVENT Sponsor.
2021 Scholarship Recipients
Rainbow Dreams Educational Foundation’s annual Las Vegas Juneteenth Festival has been successful in raising thousands of dollars in scholarship money over the past two decades. Why Do We Celebrate Juneteenth "Freedom Day?"
Juneteenth is an American cultural holiday commemorating June 19, 1865, when Union General Gordon Granger rode into Galveston, Texas, to deliver the message that the last American slaves were now free. This announcement resulted in days of celebration. The end of slavery freed all Americans, not just the slaves but also the slave masters, from the shackles of slavery. Juneteenth is a celebration of the contributions of the diverse African-American traditions that enrich American culture.
